Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026

This privacy policy applies only to this website (brenntech.co.uk) (the “Site”). It does not cover any other products, services, or activities carried out by BRENNTECH LTD, which are addressed separately.

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the Site, how it’s used, and your rights.

1. Who we are

BRENNTECH LTD is the data controller for this website.

Company no. 10559838 – VAT ref. 187 8028 68.

Our contact email is [email protected]

2. What information we collect

This is a static website. It does not have a contact form, newsletter sign-up, comments section, user accounts, or online store, so we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from you through these means.

However, some information is collected automatically as part of running the Site:

Server and hosting logs The Site is hosted with Bluehost. Like most hosting providers, Bluehost automatically logs technical information for security and operational purposes when you visit the Site, which may include:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time/date of access
  • Referring website (the page you came from)

We do not access or use these logs for marketing or profiling. They’re retained by Bluehost as part of standard hosting infrastructure, primarily for security, fraud prevention, and diagnosing technical issues. You can review Bluehost’s own privacy and data practices at bluehost.com/privacy.

Cookies We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or any other tracking or analytics tools on this Site.

That said, WordPress and our hosting environment may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to make the Site function correctly and securely (for example, cookies related to site security or caching). These are technical cookies rather than tracking or profiling cookies, and are exempt from consent requirements because they’re essential to the Site’s operation.

If this changes in future — for example, if we add analytics, embedded videos (such as YouTube), social media widgets, or advertising — we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent via a cookie banner before any non-essential cookies are set.

3. How we use your information

Any information collected (as described above) is used only to:

  • Operate and maintain the Site
  • Keep the Site secure and prevent misuse
  • Diagnose technical problems

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where we process personal data (such as IP addresses in server logs), we rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the Site secure, functional, and reliable, in a way that does not override your rights and freedoms.

5. Sharing your information

The only third party involved in running this Site is our hosting provider, Bluehost, who processes technical/server data on our behalf as described above. We do not share information with any other third parties through this Site.

6. Data retention

Server logs are retained by Bluehost in line with their own standard hosting practices. We do not separately store or retain this data ourselves.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been mishandled

To exercise any of these rights in relation to this website, contact us at [email protected].

8. Children’s privacy

This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features (such as analytics, a contact form, or embedded content) to the Site. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes.

10. Contact us

If you have questions about this policy or how this website handles information, contact us at: [email protected].
